About the Microsoft Surface Duo by Adrian Galli

This isn’t a review. I do not own a Duo however I find it to be one of the most interesting devices one the market currently.

More so this is a review of reviewers. I have a gripe with just about ever tech blog, tech blogger, review, etc. because they are pedantic. There are exceptions but for the vast majority of them, tech bloggers have a very myopic view of technology, features, specs, and proceed from a false assumption that technology, good technology, has some definition that they know and no one else does. Downsize Your Photos — Bad Advice by Adrian Galli

Popular Science recently posted an article “Your smartphone photos take up too much space. Here's how to downsize them."

Firstly, don't do it. The solution the author provides is defeatist. Photos never take up too much room because, as a general rule, the more data you have the better your photo will look. For example, 14-bit RAW files from a professional camera have insane amount of detail and information. One has so much flexibility and data to work with that editing becomes very powerful.

Facebook got Androided by Adrian Galli

According to various sources, Mark Zuckerberg ordered his executive staff to switch from iPhone to Android devices—because Tim Cook bloodied his nose about Facebook’s privacy debacles. 

A petulant move if I ever saw one. A note to all leaders—this is a reactionary, knee-jerk reaction based on emotion rather than rationality. It is a poor way to lead a team and certainly poor way to lead a company. 

Mr. Zuckerberg, this is far more telling about yourself and your company than any inquest or statement in which you’ve ever been involved.
